Bessie Bledsoe
Jun 3, 2018T J Samson Hospital in Glasgow, Ky. after several weeks illness.She was born June 3, 1920, in Monroe County, Ky., the daughter of the late Oliver J. and Mary Susie Hale Turner.She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Murrell Bledsoe on Nov. 12, 1987.She was preceded in death by these siblings: Wendell Turner, Margie Ford, Zella Burris, Neva Hale, Hettie Wheet; two son in laws, Creed Lacy and Bob Turner and by her “adopt- ed son” Lonnie McWhorter.Mrs. Bledsoe is survived by: one son, Paul Bledsoe and wife Carolyn of Columbia; three daughters, Willa Lacy of Fairplay, Ernestine Nether- ton and husband James of Fairplay, and Paulette Turner of Shepherdsville; five grandchildren, Kevin Turner, Mackie Jo Pennington, Tamara David- son, Dorinda Morrison, Angie Hanka; three great-grandchildren.Mrs. Bledsoe was a member of the Emory Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible andmany other books. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and growing exotic orchids.Funeral service was held Sunday, May 27, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-Mc- Queary Funeral Home with Bro. Elbert Hadley officiating.Interment was in the Hardin Hadley Cemetery at Bakerton, Ky.Pallbearers were: Ronnie Bell, James Davidson, Dwight Hadley, Charles Pennington, Danny Propes, Barry Morrison, and Kevin Turner.Honorary Pallbearers were Ralph Hadley, Ralph Smith, and Roger Hale.
